New York, NY — June 7, 2011 —

Milberg LLP and Kim Orr Barristers P.C. are investigating Sino-Forest Corporation (TSX: TRE; TRE.TO) and certain officers and directors for potential violations of securities laws.

In reaction to a critical report published by Muddy Waters LLC, a research firm and reported short-seller of Sino Forest securities, on June 2, 2011, shares of Sino-Forest fell more than 70% over two trading days to C$5.23 per share, on unusually high volume.

Sino-Forest is an integrated forest products company.  It asserts that it has rights to manage and operate plantations in southern China, and that its activities include timber harvesting, replanting, maintenance, wood chip processing, and marketing and export operations.
