The law firm of Milberg LLP has filed a class action lawsuit against Ferrellgas Partners LP on behalf of a nationwide class who purchased Ferrellgas propane or propane-related services or equipment at any time on or after October 13, 2007.

The lawsuit alleges that Ferrellgas lured consumers with advertising come-ons touting low prices, and contracts with consumers over the telephone to deliver propane at reasonable prices, but charged prices materially above market prices.

Additionally, Ferrellgas promised, orally and in writing, that it charged a “current market price” for home delivery of consumer-grade propane intended for use in space heating, cooking, or hot water heaters in residences, but, in fact, the prices charged were well over the national average propane prices or any other reasonable market price.

Ferrellgas’s conduct has caused it to be sued by the Minnesota Attorney General for falsely advertising that it would provide consumers with reasonably priced propane.

Milberg is investigating whether the following companies also engaged in deceptive and unfair business practices:

  • Amerigas
  • Heritage Propane
  • Inergy LP
  • Suburban Propane
  • Cenex Propane

If you purchased propane or propane-related services or equipment from any of the aforementioned companies and would like more information regarding this investigation, please fill out the form on the right or contact the following attorney:
