It has been reported that Hertz has a policy of automatically charging a refueling fee, upon return of a rental car, if the car was driven under 100 miles even when the rental car is returned with a full tank. The charge is not added when customers choose the Fuel Purchase Option or when they drive the rental car over 100 miles.
