The law firm of Milberg LLP is investigating Citibank, South Dakota (N.A.) regarding annual fees relating to certain of its credit cards. Throughout the last two decades, credit cards promising “no annual fee” have become increasingly popular amongst consumers. Citibank has issued or acquired a number of credit cards that claim to have “no annual fee,” including the AT&T Universal card, which promised consumers they would pay “no annual fee for life.”
Despite promising “no annual fee,” Citibank has now told many consumers that if they do not spend at least $2,400 per year on these cards, they will be assessed a $60 fee. Milberg believes this may be a breach of contract, as well as a violation of some states’ consumer fraud laws, and is investigating the matter accordingly.
We believe that at a minimum, the following credit cards are involved:
- The AT&T Universal Card
- The Citi Diamond Preferred Card
- The Citi Dividend World MasterCard
- The Citi mtvU Card
- The Citi Drivers Edge Card
- The Citi Dividend Platinum Select MasterCard
If you have any of the aforementioned cards, or any other card regarding which you believe you have been wrongfully charged an annual fee, please fill out the form on the right or contact the following attorney:
